Notes:
Chesterton is well-known enough to need little in the way of comment. But for me, what shines is the combination of humorous story-telling, sound doctrine, and intellectual rigour. Chesterton, through the person of Fr Brown, excels at debunking pagan superstitions and does not baulk at pointing out truths, however unpleasant.
