Synopsis:
Izzy, 15, accepts a lift home after a party from a boy who's had a bit too much. They crash into a tree and Izzy's right leg has to be amputated. She finds the stay in hospital irksome, and her former friends seem unable to cope with her loss. Outwardly she maintains her composure, but she cries at night &c.
It is another girl, Rosamunde, who was not her kind of person, who eventually helps her look past her difficulties and come to terms with the changes in her life.
