Synopsis:

Clothilde, a 12-year-old in 1921, lives with her family on the coast of America. Her father has come back from the war terribly scarred and won't live with the family; her brother is lured away by their rich grandfather, and Clothilde hears a mysterious Voice which promises her certain things which don't turn out as expected.
