Synopsis:
A hundred years ago, an inventor discovered a clock that could turn back time. It was stolen and soon after so was his fortune. A local beggar boy was blamed, but now his ghost is appearing in the snowbound village at Christmas and blacksmith's son Jack, scientist's son Simon, and Sophie become involved in the search for the timepiece and the treasure, outwitting the descendant of the real thief and his local accomplice.
Notes:
Slightly awkward mixture of sci-fi, ghost story, and conventional treasure hunt. Unobjectionable except for conventional scientific parallel universe stuff. The characters never really come off the page.
