  • Caspian is the true king of Narnia, but his claim is usurped by the regency of his Uncle Miraz who wants the throne for his own newly-born son. Caspian is helped by some of the Old Narnians: Trumpkin the dwarf, Trufflehunter the badger and Doctor Cornelius a half-dwarf.
  • The Pevensie Children return to Narnia after 1,000 years and must help Caspian reclaim the throne without usurping his claim. At first, only Lucy can see Aslan. Only gradually can the older ones see him as he guides them across Narnia.

The Pevensies return to Narnia to discover that 1,000 years have passed and that they are the stuff of legends, as are the talking animals of Narnia and Aslan himself. They are found by Trumpkin and travel to Aslan's How where they must help Caspian and the Old Narnians to overcome Miraz who unjustly wants the throne for his own son.
